The University of Peradeniya Alumni Association – USA (UPAA-USA) is constituted to bring together the past students and staff of the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka who are presently living in the USA.
Our Purpose
The purpose of the association is to create a social forum for the former students and staff of the University of Peradeniya to meet and foster fellowship among themselves, and to do charitable community work including promoting education and scholarships. The Association will additionally, support the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka and similar educational institutions by providing assistance to current and former students and staff for educational projects and developmental schemes.

President’s Message
As we embrace the energy and promise of 2026, I am deeply honored to officially begin my term as President of the UOP Alumni Association for 2026-2027.
While our association is just six years old, we have reached a pivotal moment in our history. Through the dedication of our past leaders and the tireless work of our Executive Committee, we have built an organization defined by integrity. Most importantly, we have earned your trust—a trust that is now manifesting in the growing number of alumni choosing to invest in our university’s future through our association.
My goal for this term is to build on this momentum and take our impact to the “Next Level” which is not a destination I can reach alone. It requires the collective energy of our trusted Executive Committee and, most importantly, the active participation of alumni like you.
Whether you choose to give back through financial support, share your wisdom as a mentor, or simply stay connected with our global family, your involvement is the fuel that drives us forward. Your success is UOP’s success, and your generosity is the foundation upon which the next generation will build.
